		<description>I haven&#039;t run this script (I&#039;m using Ubuntu Linux), but I ran the PID=`...` line and it would always grab the PID of the grep command. This worked for me:
ps xfa &#124; grep firefox &#124; awk &#039;/firefox\-/ { print $1 }&#039; &#124; head -1</description>

Fortunately there were so many to choose from that the ratio of &quot;good&quot; to &quot;disappointing&quot; speeches worked out in my favor.

By the way, if you (or anyone else who runs across this) would like help in publising their own book, drop me an e-mail. I was serious with what I said during my talk; I think a lot of hacker/computer-related people have some good stories in them waiting to get out. Screw Oprah&#039;s book club!</description>
